Rethinking Wellness Series
“Exercise: Moving for Vitality” will be presented by Michael Mayer, Ph.D. and Ofer Erez. The importance of exercise and movement can rarely be overstated. There are, however, many schools of thought on what types of physical activity yield the most benefit and have the greatest potential in preventive health. Our presenters for this event bring two unique perspectives that will invite thinking “outside the box” and demonstrate some lesser known but powerful disciplines to explore in the realm of body/mind healing.
Speaker Bios: Mayer Mayer, Ph.D., licensed psychologist in private practice, and Tai Chi/Qigong teacher, specializes in self-healing methods for physical and mental health. He presents his bodymind healing approach at professional conferences, workshops, universities, and hospitals. Author of twenty publications including his latest Energy Psychology, Dr Mayer pioneered the integration of Qigong and psychotherapy. www.bodymindhealing.com.
Ofer Erez specializes in Healing Through Movement. He is the founder of several Sugi Healing Arts including Sugi Yoga®, Sugi Touch™ and Sugi Fitness™. Ofer is the head trainer at the Sugi School of Health and Fitness. He currently works privately with individuals and conducts workshops and professional trainings.
